Download Data From Rentec Then Import Into QuickBooks (Legacy)

For those using QuickBooks, Rentec Direct property gives you the ability to download the property management data. 

Configure Data Display Settings 

Prior to your first download, check your Advanced Program Defaults to confirm that your report includes the property and memo details. 
In your Rentec Direct account: 
  1. Click on the Settings tab.
  2. Click on Program Defaults.
  3. Click the Edit Advanced Settings link at the bottom of that page.
  4. Toggle the 'Display property and transaction memo in account ledger reports' to YES.
  5. Be sure to click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the Advanced Defaut page and also click Save Changes on the next screen.

Once that has been completed, there are two options for downloading data from your Rentec Direct account to use in your QuickBooks account.

Download Option 1

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. Click on the Reports tab.
  2. Click on Financial Reports.
  3. Select the bank account and choose the date range on the left-hand side.
  4. Click the Account Ledger B Report.
  5. Click the Export to Excel icon in the upper right corner which will export the data to your computer or device in a .csv file format.

Download Option 2 

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. Click on the Account tab.
  2. Enter Ledger for the account desired.
  3. At the bottom of the page, click the Download This Data link which will export the data to your computer or device in a .csv file format.

With either option, you may now import this data to QuickBooks using QuickBooks importing tools.
