Activate Pet Screening Requirements on Your Rental Applications

In your Rentec Direct account:

1. Click on Settings
2. Under Program, click on Rental Applications
3. Under Default Questions, set Ask primary applicant to list pets? to:
   1. YES, If you would like Pet Screening required of only the primary applicant if they indicate they have a pet
   2. NO, If you would like all applicants to complete Pet Screening even if they don't have a pet 

Pro Tip: If you would like to invite existing tenants to complete Pet Screening, provide them with your Unique Subdomain

How to Find Your Pet Screening Subdomain Link

In your PetScreening.com account:

1. Log in to your PetScreening account 
2. Click on Settings 
3. Go to the Landing Page 

Didn't Receive a Petscreening Report?

If you didn't receive a screening report, the applicant/renter most likely went directly to PetScreening.com instead of using your unique landing page. The report can be located by logging into your PetScreening account and using the Global Profile Search feature under Profiles. Search using the individual's email address and request access.

How to Cancel a PetScreening Account

PetScreening accounts can be canceled by sending an email request to support@petscreening.com or log into your account and click the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page.

How Much Does PetScreening Cost

There is no fee for property managers or landlords to create a Pet Screening account to remove the risk from your team and help manage your assets.

* Renters will not be charged a fee for screening Assistance Animals that meet HUD's Fair Housing Act Guidelines

* Renters may be required to pay a fee for screening household pets (The cost is minimal and commonly incorporated into the application or renewal fee)
