Incorrect Historical Rent Charges on Tenant Ledger

Once in a while, our support staff receives a call from an alarmed landlord reporting that a tenant has a considerable balance in their tenant ledger, and they have no idea how to fix it quickly without editing each transaction.

To adjust old rent charges, you can change the "move-in date" and "update accounting" for this tenant to the date you want the charges to begin. This will remove historical rent charges you do not want on the tenant's ledger and replace them with accurate rent charges.

After doing this, you can adjust the "move-in date" a second time to reflect the actual date without updating the accounting.

For a more detailed guide, a comprehensive step-by-step walkthrough is available: Update an Incorrect Move-In Date. This resource is designed to provide you with the support you need to navigate this process with ease.
