Combine or Separate Units

As your portfolio changes, you may need to reorganize your properties. Whether you're adding a property as a subunit of a multi-unit property or separating it into its own standalone property, Rentec Direct makes it easy to update your property hierarchy.

Add a Property to a Multi-Unit Property

In your Rentec Direct account:

1. Click Properties

2. Right-click the Subunit and select Change Position

   

   
   
3. Under Subunit Assignment, use the Change to dropdown menu to select the main property
4. Click Change Multiplex to save changes, and the unit will be moved to the new destination

The property will now appear as a subunit of the selected multi-unit property.

Remove a Property from a Multi-Unit Property

In your Rentec Direct account:

1. Click Properties
2. Right-click the Subunit and select Change Position
3. Under Subunit Assignment, use the Change to dropdown menu to select None
4. Click Change Multiplex to save changes

The property will be removed from the multi-unit property and become a standalone property.

Note: Managers and subusers can only manage property assignments if they have the appropriate permissions. If you don't see the option to add or change a property's position, contact your account administrator to review your user permissions.
