Is Rentec Direct Affiliated with Beagle?

Question: Is Beagle replacing any current insurance products present in the Rentec Direct platform?
Answer: No.
Question: I was told by somebody that Beagle may be being added to Rentec Direct and/or is replacing Rentec Direct's current insurance offerings.
Answer: That information is not accurate. Rentec Direct and Beagle have no affiliations at this time. All official partnerships are announced on the Rentec Direct Blog and listed on our Integrated Partners page.
Question: Can I offer third-party products, like Beagle, within Rentec Direct?
Answer: Yes. If you choose to set up an independent agreement with Beagle or other third-parties to offer their product(s), you can invoice for those products in Rentec Direct. To set up new products, visit Settings, Products & Services. You can then create invoices for your tenants using those products, or add those products as surcharges to your Rent invoices.
Question: How should I handle requests for account access from third-party services?
Answer: Rentec Direct allows you to create custom user permissions under Settings > Managers & Users. These user accounts were designed to be used by internal trusted and trained staff within your organization; however, technically they could also be used by third-parties.
If you choose to grant access to a third-party, please note:
- Responsibility: The account owner assumes full responsibility for any data modifications or deletions made by third-party users.
- Least Access Permissions: For the security of your data, we recommend using the minimum permissions necessary for the service to function.
- Security Review: Ensure the provider meets your data protection standards, as their access level grants them visibility into your client records. Ensure this meets your security and legal obligations for your client data before proceeding.
