How to Edit Displayed Information on Rental Listings and Syndicated Sites

Updating your property listing information for your marketing, website rental listings, and on syndicated sites is only a few clicks away. 

How to Edit the Rent Amount Displayed 

Changing the current market rent for a property is easy. 

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. Click Properties.
  2. Right-click the property and select Edit Property.
  3. Change the Default Rent setting to the new rent amount.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Once you make that change on your property, it will update your online listings on your website but can then take the syndicated sites up to 72 hours to update the listing on their sites.


How to Edit Other Listing Details

You can change the other listing details following these instructions. 

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. Click Properties
  2. Right-click and choose Marketing Info from the drop-down menu
  3. Make changes and updates and then click Save Changes when finished

Again, with any changes made, your online listing will update automatically but can then take the syndicated sites up to 72 hours to update the listing on their sites.


How to Edit the Contact Information Displayed 

Your account type and choices determine which contact information is displayed when a property is listed on syndicated sites. You can change the contact information displayed on syndicated sites with these instructions. 

Rentec Pro Accounts

In your Rentec Direct Account:

  1. Click Settings 
  2. Under Account Settings choose Your Contact Information
  3. Update your contact information and click Save Changes 

Rentec PM Accounts

When you add or edit a property, if you'll see a setting for  Property Manager that allows you to assign a manager to the property. The syndicated sites use the property manager's contact information.

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. To change managers
    1. Click Properties 
    2. Right-click the property and choose Edit Property from the drop-down menu
    3. Choose a different manager from the drop-down list

      System Note: If you have the Property Manager field set as None or if you are not subscribed to Rentec PM, then the syndicated sites will use the contact information that you have entered under Your Contact Information in Settings
    4. Click Save Changes when finished. 
  2. To update a managers information
    1. Click on Settings 
    2. Under Account, click on Managers & Users
    3. Use the Paper/Pencil icon to edit the contact information for that user
    4. Click Save Changes when finished
