Download Data From Rentec Then Import Into QuickBooks
While Rentec Direct provides a robust accounting system, some housing providers may use platforms such as QuickBooks® to manage their other company-related finances. You can easily upload financial transactions from Rentec Direct to QuickBooks®.
Note: Downloading Data from Rentec to import into QuickBooks is available with Rentec Pro and PM subscriptions and isn't included with Rentec Starter. Your Two-Step Guide to Importing Financial Transactions to QuickBooks®
Step 1
In your Rentec Direct account:
- Click on Reports
- Under Accounting, click on Account Ledger B
- Select the Report Period and Bank Account or Property
- Check the box to Display property and transaction memos and Show details of split transactions
- Click on Submit
- Click the CSV icon to download the report to your computer or device in a .csv file format
Step 2
Import the report to your QuickBooks account using their importing tools. (Steps may vary depending on the version you are using.)
In your QuickBooks® account:
- Navigate to the Profile icon and select Imports
- Select Import Transactions
- Follow the on-screen steps to upload the CSV file
