Attaching Files to Emails

There may be times documents, receipts, or even photos may need to be shared with tenants, vendors, or owners (for those subscribed to PM version). Files can quickly be selected from saved documents on your device or the file library in your Rentec Direct account. This feature is similar to those you find in Gmail or Outlook and can be sent to individual or groups of tenants.


How to Attach a File to an Email

First step is to draft your email. Information on sending emails can be found here: Sending Email Message to Tenants, Owners, and Vendor

Then, while sending an email, you have two options to attach a file using these easy instructions. 

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. To add a file from your computer, while drafting an email, click on the Upload File or,
  2. To add a file from the files already saved to your software File Library, click on the Choose File button

    After sending is complete, emails with attachments will be indicated by a small paperclip on the envelope in the email history list. You can review the email and its attachments by clicking on a specific email from the list

NOTE: The following limitations may affect the message being sent

  1. Maximum 6 file attachments
  2. Maximum total attachment size 14MB (Some files may be bounced back if total is over 10MB)
