Tenant Pictures & Social Networking Tenant Data
Your Rentec Direct software allows functionality to let you upload pictures of your tenants to the system or if you don't have a picture, can import a picture from their social media profile if available.
Add or Change a Tenants Picture
To add or change a tenant’s picture is simple.
In your Rentec Direct account
- Click Tenants
- Right-click and choose Edit Tenant from the drop-down menu
- Click the thumbnail image on the Edit Tenant page and it will allow you to upload an image.
The image will then be stored in the tenant's file library, where it can be deleted if you would like to remove it.
More information on storing files can be found here: File Library | File Storage - Click Update Tenant when finished
Don’t have a picture? No problem! There’s a good chance your tenant has a social account. Rentec Direct has integrated with Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, and Twitter to automatically display the profile picture from the tenant’s social media account, which is already publicly shared with the world. This information comes from their email address, so be sure to have a valid email address on file.
If your tenant has a social account tied to their email address, right under their picture on the Edit Tenant page you will might* see small social icons. Each of these, when clicked, will open a new tab in your browser to their social account.
*Note: The social media buttons may or may not show up at the discretion of the social media platform's data sharing privacy policies.
Once updated, your Tenant List will be filled with photos of your current tenants, helping you put a face to the name of your renters and personalize your manager-renter relationships.
Success Tip: Need to flag a tenant so it stands out to you and all your staff? Maybe the tenant is undergoing eviction. Upload an image like this eviction notice as the tenant image and they will have an unmistakable eviction sticker next to their name on your tenant list.
Not interested in the social data and pictures? You'll find the option in your Advanced Program Settings to turn off social data.
