Schedule and Send Automated Reports to Owners, Managers, and/or Yourself

Schedule reports to be emailed automatically weekly or monthly in your Rentec Direct property management software. 

  • Rentec Direct PM clients can schedule the reports to be automatically sent to property owners or managers
  • Rentec Direct Pro clients can schedule reports to be automatically mailed to themselves

Schedule and Send Automated Reports

How to Schedule Automated Reports 

Quickly schedule automated reports to be emailed to property owners, property owners, and managers, or to yourself only. 

The following steps will walk you through scheduling reports.

In your Rentec Direct account:

  1. Click on Reports

    Note: For accounts created before July 26, 2024, if you haven't had a chance to check out the enhanced features, click on the NEW Try our Remodeled Reports link to access the new report options.
  2. Click on the report 
  3. Enter the Report Period for the report you would like to create
    1. The Report Period will automatically update each frequency
    2. Pressing ctrl+/ will allow you to toggle between the report being created and the list of reports.
  4. Indicate the Bank Account, Owner, or Property
  5. Check the box to include archived property in the Owner Statement A, Owner Statement B, or Vacant property reports
  6. Click on Submit to create a report

    Note: When reviewing the report, clickable fields such as the category and dollar amount allow you to access the transaction and make any needed adjustments or memos.
  7. Click on the email envelope
  8. Click on:
    1. Recipients to view a list and select recipients. If you would like a copy also check the Include Myself box
    2. Include Myself box and no other recipients to schedule reports to only go to you
  9. Enter a subject and message
  10. Click on Schedule Report 
    1. Indicate the frequency (Monthly or Weekly)
    2. If Monthly is selected, using the dropdown, select the day of the month reports are to be sent
    3. If Weekly is selected, using the dropdown, select the day of the week reports are to be sent
  11. Click on Send Now to receive a report when the schedule is saved
  12. Click on Send, Schedule Emails to send the report now and enable the scheduled reports moving forward

    System Note: Managers and users will only be able to see scheduled reports that they've created

Viewing Previously Sent Reports

When reports are delivered using the automated feature, a copy of the report will be preserved in the file library of your Rentec Direct account and the owner's.

The following steps will walk you through accessing the stored reports.

In your Rentec Direct account:

  1. Click on Settings
  2. Under Tools click on File Library

To view reports stored in an owner file library:

  1. Click on Owners
  2. Right-click on the owner
  3. Click on File Library

How to Edit or Delete Scheduled Reports

The following steps will walk you through editing the parameters or deleting a scheduled report.

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. Click on Reports
  2. Click on Scheduled Reports
    1. To delete a report click on the little garbage can to the right of the report
    2. To edit a report, click on the paper/pencil to the right of the report
  3. Make changes as needed
  4. Click on Save Changes
