Reactivate Archived Property or Tenant (Legacy)
This help article contains instructions for the Legacy Version of Rentec Direct. More information about the latest version of Rentec Direct can be found here: The Remodel | Rentec Direct’s Newest Software Update
When a tenant moves, a property sells, or an account is no longer in use, archiving that ledger can be helpful for organizing the data within the software to only what is actively being managed. However, it may be important to reactivating a ledger; especially when pulling reports and processing 1099s and other tax reporting and audit tasks.
How to Reactivate a Property (or Tenant, Owner, Account ledger)
These instructions are universal throughout the software so we will use reactivating a property as our example below.
In your Rentec Direct account:
- Click Properties (or the appropriate category such as Tenants or Accounts).
- Click the Display Archived option. From there, all archived ledgers appear highlighted in pink and labeled archived.
- Right-click and select Re-Activate from the drop-down menu.
