Assigning Property Managers to Properties
Assigning property mangers allows you to designate contacts for Maintenance Requests, Marketing, and the property manager's contact information that appears on:
- Tenant statements
- Tenant invoices
- Online listings & syndication
- Online applications
This feature is especially useful if you have numerous properties, some of which are managed out of a separate office. Easily set up a property manager with a different address so when invoices are returned by tenants they are returned to the appropriate office. Likewise, the specific property manager handling a property will receive all online application notifications. This feature is what makes a multi-manager office function.

Adding managers is a quick and simple process.
In your Rentec Direct account:

Note: This link will say, “Custom, Limited, Financial, or Full,” - Use the dropdown to select a default permission or select specific options. Hover over the "?" to see more details.
- Click on Save Changes
System Note: After permissions are set, log in as the Manager to verify their access.
Designating Managers
Now that your managers have been added to your account, you can assign the manager designations in your property profiles.
In your Rentec Direct account:
- Click on Properties
- Right-click on the Property and choose Edit Property
- Under Managers & Owners there are three types of managers. Using the dropdown, select the applicable manager/s
- Click on Update Property
System Note: Save time when editing a multi unit property by editing the Primary property and select Update Primary and Subunits when complete to update all units.
Repeat this process for any additional property managers.
Note: If a manager or user's permissions are restricted to view some properties and they are later indicated as a property manager for that property their permissions will automatically be updated granting access to that property.
