Sending Forms

There are times when forms need to be provided to Tenants or Owners. In your Rentec Direct Property Management software, you have the option of creating a form using the templates provided, creating a custom form, or uploading a form you currently use. This is a convenient way to provide documents, forms, or even copies to Tenants and Owners.

Sending Forms

The following steps will walk you through how to send forms to your Tenants and Owners. 

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. Click Tenants or Owners
  2. Right click on the specific Tenant or Owner and select Forms
  3. Using the dropdown, select the Form you would like to send
  4. Click on Use Email
  5. Verify email addresses
  6. Add Subject and Message
  7. If you would like, click the box to "Send a copy to myself" to receive a copy
  8. Click Send Form via Email

Sending FormsTip: You can print a copy by clicking the Download option under the document preview.

User Permissions

If you are using Rentec Pro or Rentec PM and have added subusers, you can specify whether these accounts have permission to add or edit Forms.

The following steps will walk you through setting permissions for allowing access to forms.

In your Rentec Direct account:

  1. Click Settings
  2. Under the People option, choose Managers & Users
  3. Click the Permissions link for the user whose permissions you wish to edit
  4. Change Allow access to Forms to YES
  5. Click Save Changes

Important Note: There are other forms options available to customize for your users. Please use caution when granting permission to send Forms electronically. Electronic forms are legally binding documents and may also incur charges on your account.
