Archive, Reactivate, or Delete a Property

All active properties are located on the Properties List. You have options to remove them from that list by archiving the property profile. From there, you will also be able to permanently delete the property profile if desired.  

Archive a Property

To remove a property from the active properties list, follow the instructions below. 

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. Click Properties
  2. Right-click and choose Archive Property from the drop-down menu 
  3. You'll be presented with this warning. Click the Archive Property button if you agree

The property profile and ledger are then removed from the active Properties List and placed on the Archived Properties List.

Reactive or Delete an Archived Property

After a property profile and ledger has been archived, it will stay on the Archived Property list where you'll find all the historic information for that property. From the Archived Property list, you also have the option to either reactivate that property profile and ledger or permanently delete it from the system. 

In your Rentec Direct account: 

  1. From the main menu, click Properties and then Archives
  2. Right-click on the archived property and choose either:
    1. Re-activate: This option automatically moves the property ledger and profile from the Archived list and places it back on the Properties menu.  
    2. Delete Property: This permanently deletes all property information including transactions from the system. You'll be presented with this warning. Click Delete Property if you agree

      Important Note: Throughout the software you will encounter warnings and additional information and instruction. It's important to carefully read those (such as the one below) to avoid critical errors.
