Adding and Using Two-Factor Authentication | Text Message Verification

Two-Factor  Authentication (2FA) provides an additional verification step beyond your username and password, making it nearly impossible to fall victim to phishing attempts and hackers.

Receiving a text message for 2FA is widely used and an excellent option.

System Notes:

  • Rentec Direct requires 2FA for all accounts that use online payment processing to help protect account data and funds
  • If your account does not use online payment processing, enabling 2FA is strongly recommended for all users
  • If you previously shared your login and password information with others to access your account, immediately set them up as a subuser, as they will not be able to access your account.
