Build Your own Website Overview

Your website includes a Home Page,  Rentals page displaying currently available properties, About Us, and Contact page. Having a custom website is an excellent way to:

• Provide a professional presence and set your company apart
  • Share information about your company
  • Display services your company provides
  • Create a phone link, allowing visitors to your site to call you from your website
  • Create a custom web address
  • Upload your company logo
  • Create a custom color scheme 
• Allow tenants to pay rent online in addition to the Resident Connect Mobile App
• Display available properties

Customize Your Website

Rentec Direct software provides professional templates for your website. You can add your text and pictures to the provided templates or delete everything and start from scratch. The following steps will walk you through how to create, customize, and name your website.

In your Rentec Direct account: 

1. Click Settings
2. Click on Website & Branding under Program
3. Click the corresponding Edit Page link to customize the content for:
   1. Home Page
   2. About Us
   3. Contact
4. As the pages are updated, you will have the option to:
   1. Preview the website with current changes 
   2. Save Draft Allows saving changes as they are, but not yet ready for the public viewing
   3. Publish Confirms that section of your website is ready to share and can be seen when your website is accessed.
5. Selecting Visible or Hidden determines if that page can be viewed on your site
6. Web Address allows you to create a web address name that best reflects your company
7. Template provides a dropdown allowing you to choose from a selection the background color for your website
8. Responsive being selected will allow your content to display accurately on all devices

Your Logo is where you can upload your custom logo to be displayed across your Rentec Direct software, on your custom website, rental marketing pages, online applications, and portals.

Create a Phone Link

Easily create a phone link so people visiting your website may call you directly from your contact page on their mobile device. To create a phone link:

In your Rentec Direct account:

1. Click Settings
2. Click on Website & Branding under Program
3. Click on Edit Page under Contact
4. Click the website link icon
5. Enter your phone number under URL formatted as shown below
6. Enter your phone number under Text to display
7. SAVE

How To View Your Website

Input your web address as <yourbrand>.propertymanage.biz or propertymanage.biz/<yourbrand> into the URL window at the top of your browser. To see your website live, you must have published the pages (Home, About Us, and/or Contact) in the previous steps and Saved changes for other changes that may have been made. 

Example: mworld.propertymanage.biz or propertymanage.biz/mworld will take you to the Rentec Direct demo account custom domain

System Note: Only the primary administrative user of your Rentec Direct account will have access to these settings.
