Build Your Own Enhanced Website

All Rentec Pro and PM accounts include a professional website at no additional cost. Customize it with your logo, colors, and branding to create an online presence where prospective tenants, owners, and contacts can easily find and connect with your business.

This article walks you through creating and customizing your website from start to finish. Use the links below to jump to the section you need.

Note: Custom websites are available with Rentec Pro and PM subscriptions and are not included with Rentec Starter. Build Your Custom Website

Creating your professional website only takes a few minutes. Once your website is set up, you can use the Design Your Custom Website section below to personalize its appearance and branding.

Tip: Hover over the? icons throughout the Website settings for additional information about each option.

In your Rentec Direct account:

  1. Click Settings
  2. Under Program, click Website
  3. Complete the following website settings:

Website Information

Title -  This title appears in your visitors' browser tabs and may be displayed by search engines in search results. You can enter your own title or leave it blank to have Rentec Direct automatically create one using your company name and location.

Description - Enter a brief description of your business. This text may appear in search engine results, helping potential clients learn about your company before they visit your website. It does not display on your website itself.

Web Address - Choose the web address (URL) for your Rentec Direct website. Under View, enter a name that represents your company; your business name is usually the best choice. Only letters, numbers, underscores (_), and hyphens (-) are allowed here.

Your website address is a great place to direct:

  • Prospective tenants to available rentals and online applications.
  • Rental leads to create lead cards.
  • Property owners interested in your management services.
  • Tenants and owners who prefer using a web browser to access their portals.

Design Your Custom Website

Now it's time to make your website your own! Choose colors that match your brand, add your messaging, upload images, and preview changes before publishing. You can update your website anytime, so don't worry about making it perfect the first time.

In your Rentec Direct account:

  1. Click Settings

  2. Under Program, click Website

  3. Click the Expand icon to open the website editor in full-screen mode. (Click the collapse icon at any time to return to the standard view.)
  4. Select a Theme that best reflects your brand. You can change your theme whenever you'd like.
  5. Click in any Header or Text Box to add your own text. Use the formatting toolbar to customize fonts, add links, and style your content.
  6. Click an image to upload your own photos or graphics
  7. Repeat these steps for each remaining website section until your content is complete.

Publish Your Website

Once you're happy with your website, you're ready to share it with the world.

  • Click Save Draft to save your progress and continue editing later.
  • Click Preview to see how your website will look before publishing.
  • Turn Show On for each section you'd like visitors to see.
  • Click Publish to make your changes live. Only the sections you've chosen to display will appear on your published website.

Tip: Your website is never set in stone. As your business grows, you can update your content, images, colors, and branding anytime to keep your website fresh and inviting.

Advanced Options

These optional settings allow you to further customize your website.

  • Domain - If you own a custom domain (for example, www.yourdomain.com), enter it here to point your domain to your Rentec Direct website.

  • Analytics ID - If you use Google Analytics (GA4), enter your Analytics ID to automatically connect your website and begin tracking visitor activity.

  1. HTML Head Elements - Add custom HTML elements to the <head> section of your website for advanced customization, verification tags, or other integrations.

  2. iFrame URL - Use this URL to embed your Rentec Direct property listings into your own external website. You can also customize the color scheme to better match your branding. Click the clipboard icon to copy the link.

Helpful Tips and FAQs

Do I have to display all five sections on my website?

No. You're in control of what visitors see. Turn Show on only for sections you'd like to publish, and keep the others hidden until you're ready. This makes it easy to build and update your website at your own pace.

How can I view my website?

Enter your website address into your browser's address bar using either of these formats:

Be sure to Save and Publish your changes before viewing your live website.

Example:

mworld.propertymanage.biz or propertymanage.biz/mworld both open the Rentec Direct demo website.

Can someone design my website for me?

Yes. If you'd prefer professional assistance, Rentec Direct has partnered with Cevado, a company that specializes in real estate and property management websites. You can also work with other website providers, such as GoDaddy, Squarespace, or Wix, if you prefer.

Can I add a QR Code to my website or marketing materials?

Yes! Many clients add QR codes to rental flyers printed from the website, signs, banners, postcards, and other marketing materials. A QR code makes it easy for prospective tenants to scan and immediately view your available rentals, add themselves as a lead, or complete an online application.

Is my Rentec Direct website secure?

Absolutely. Protecting your information is a top priority. Your Rentec Direct website includes modern security features such as SSL encryption, secure hosting, firewalls, and other safeguards to help keep your website and visitors protected.
