Tenant Sort Order
Change the view of your Tenant list with just a few simple steps. Using Program Defaults, Filters, and clickable Sort Options, you can easily customize how tenant information is displayed.

Setting Defaults for Tenant Page Display
By default, 100 tenants per page will be displayed when you click on Tenants with page controls at the bottom to go to the next or previous page. Save Searches is also enabled by default, so if you return to a page that had a previous search during your session, that search criteria will still apply.
You can easily change the Number of Results to show on each page of Tenant (and Property) Lists and whether you want to save your searches in Program Defaults.
In your Rentec Direct account:
- Click on Settings
- Under Program, click on Program Defaults
- Click on Edit Advanced Settings
- Under Advanced General Preferences, use the dropdown to select the Number of results to show at once on Property and Tenant Lists 10, 25, 50, 100, or 250.
- Directly below the option to select the Number of Tenants to be displayed is the option to Save Searches. This feature allows you to go to another area in your account and return to your saved sort order.
- Click on Save Changes
Applying Filters and Sort Orders
With 14 filters to choose from and multiple Sort Order options, quickly create a purposeful Tenant List.
In your Rentec Direct account:
- Click on Tenants
- Select the tenant related status for the report from the Filter dropdown
- Click on a header or arrow to sort the data even further
- Click on a header or arrow a second time to sort the data in the opposite direction
- To view only a group of tenants, click on the people icon by the primary tenant
Pro Tips:
- Use the Page Back option to return to the complete, unfiltered Tenant List
- With Save Search enabled, the Tenant List with selected Sort Orders will be available until the filter and options are changed, even after leaving the screen.

Actions from the Tenant List
While viewing a Tenant List, several clickable fields providing access to edit property, and tenant profiles, view and edit ledgers, send emails, and more.
Here's a helpful list of actions that can be made from the Tenant List:
- Right-click next to a Name or click on the menu icon (three dots) to access a clickable menu of tenant related options and actions. If edits are made through the menu, click on Update Tenant to save and return to the Tenants List.
- Hover over the Property to access clickable links to Edit Property Owner or Property profiles and Enter Ledger (of that property).
- Click on the Balance to enter the ledger
- Click on the Email Address to send an email
- Click on the Phone Number to make a call (If your system has the capability)
- Use the Previous and Next option to change the page displayed
